Fernando da Guerra
Fernando da Guerra ( – 26 September 1467) was a Portuguese ecclesiastic. He was successively bishop of Algarve (1409–1414), bishop of Porto (1416–1417) and finally archbishop of Braga (1417–1467). As Archbishop, he was known for his defense of the Church's rights and privileges.
D. Fernando da Guerra era filho de uma realção entre D. Pedro da Guerra (filho do infante D. João e neto de D. Pedro I e D. Inês de Castro) com D. Maria Anes. Sendo bisneto do rei D. Pedro, era também primo dos reis que viu passar pelo trono: D. João I, D. Duarte e D. Afonso V. Era ainda meio-irmão do bispo da Guarda, Luís da Guerra.
He built the Braga's Archiepiscopal Court, containing the Medieval Hall and library.
