Voters chose eight representatives, or electors to the Electoral College, who voted for president and vice president.

Oklahoma was won by the Republican Party candidate, Texas Governor George W. Bush with a 21.88% margin of victory. Through the 2024 US presidential election, this is the last time that the Republican presidential nominee failed to win all 77 counties in Oklahoma; as a result, this is the last time the Democratic nominee won the following counties: Ottawa, Cherokee, Muskogee, Okmulgee, McIntosh, Hughes, Haskell, Latimer, and Choctaw. This was also the last time until 2016 that any third-party candidates were granted ballot access in Oklahoma and the last time until 2020 that any county was won by only a plurality.
