The team qualified for the playoffs for the fourth straight season. Two close victories over Denver towards the end of the year gave Los Angeles the division title, while Denver missed the playoffs despite an 11–5 record. In the AFC Divisional Playoffs, the Raiders lost 27–20 to the New England Patriots.
