Senior Football Championship final (17) (16) The 1948 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final was the 61st All-Ireland Final and the deciding match of the 1948 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, an inter-county Gaelic football tournament for the top teams in Ireland. Contested by a team from the Ulster (Cavan) and a team from Connacht (Mayo), such a meeting in the decider between teams from these provinces would not happen again until 2012.

This was the last time Cavan defeated Mayo in a championship game until 2025.
