The 2008–09 Wyoming Cowboys basketball team represented the University of Wyoming in the 2008–09 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They compete in the Mountain West Conference. Wyoming advanced to the semifinals of the 2009 Mountain West tournament, where they lost to Utah.
