Yip is a long-time screenwriter for films directed by Johnnie To and/or Wai Ka-fai of Milkyway Image and frequently works alongside screenwriters Szeto Kam-yuen, Wai Ka-Fai, Yau Nai-hoi and Au Kin-yee.
