Kasane Teto (Japanese: 重音テト, .mw-parser-output .IPA-label-small{font-size:85%}.mw-parser-output .references .IPA-label-small,.mw-parser-output .infobox .IPA-label-small,.mw-parser-output .navbox .IPA-label-small{font-size:100%}pronounced [kasane teꜜto]) is a virtual singer with a voicebank for UTAU, a singing voice synthesizer software. The character was initially created as a joke for April Fools' Day 2008 on the Japanese textboard 2channel, but she was later made into an actual voicebank in the same year. Teto has been introduced as a "diva born from a hoax".
