History

Hogsthorpe's church, dedicated to Saint Mary, is built in Early English style of limestone and greenstone, and is a Grade I Listed Building. It dates from the 12th century, and has a 12th-century tower, a 15th-century font and a pulpit from 1730. The chancel was rebuilt in 1870, and the church was restored in 1853 and 1910. | align = left | direction = vertical | header = Hogsthorpe Village | header_align = center | header_background = | width = | image1 = Wesleyan Chapel, Hogsthorpe, Lincs - geograph.org.uk - 86058.jpg | width1 = 180 | caption1 = Wesleyan Chapel | image2 = Saracen's Head - geograph.org.uk - 1162444.jpg | width2 = 180 | caption2 = Saracen's Head
