The second time was from June 30 to July 16, 2017, when the train was operated in connection with track work. The third time was three evenings in June 2024 and a weekend in July 2024 in connection with bridge work at Svanemøllen Station.

Night train on line F

On November 20, 2009, a trial of night trains was introduced on Friday and Saturday nights, which for line F meant two trains per hour in each direction between Hellerup and Copenhagen South, stopping at all stations along the way. A similar concept had already been used for a number of years on the night after Christmas lunch, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, although with 20-minute operation.

The experiment was originally supposed to last six months. In practice, however, it became permanent, and from November 30, 2012, night train F was extended to Klampenborg to replace night train C which was shortened to Copenhagen H. However, with the timetable change on December 10, 2018, line C was again extended to Klampenborg at night, and line F was shortened to Hellerup.

The ring line also has a history of supplementary services with other designations than F. At some times the variant service letters have been used to indicate which trains continued from Hellerup to Klampenborg. In other periods it has simply been because then-prevalent principles mandated that a single service letter such as F could not be used for more than exactly 3 trains an hour, so in parts of the day when more trains ran, extra services had to be invented.

There previously existed a regular line M, which was established as a supplement to line F on the Ring Line on May 28, 1989. It was changed to line F+ on September 15, 2002. The line was incorporated into line F in a reform of the line network on September 23, 2007.
