Enteric fever is a medical term encompassing two types of salmonellosis, which, specifically, are Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi (S Typhi), commonly known as Typhoid fever, and Salmonella enterica serovar Paratyphi A, B, or C (S Paratyphi), also known as paratyphoid fever.
